Sturle Dagsland (NO)

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Sturle Dagsland is a Norwegian artist and vocalist operating at the intersection of experimental electronic music, art pop, industrial, avant-garde, and noise rock. Together with his brother Sjur, he creates a distinctive sonic universe where organic vocal expression, electronic textures, drone soundscapes, and explosive rhythmic outbursts merge into a constantly shifting whole. The duo's music defies traditional genre boundaries. A composition may begin as fragile, atmospheric electronica before transforming within seconds into a fierce, near-ritualistic sonic assault. At the center is Sturle Dagsland's extraordinary voice, moving effortlessly between heartfelt melodies, wordless laments, ecstatic cries, and deep, almost animalistic vocal experiments. Through performances at festivals and venues around the world, from Shanghai to New York, the brothers have built a reputation as one of the Nordic region's most boundary-pushing live acts. Their uncompromising approach to sound and performance has led critics to describe the music as beautiful, terrifying, and impossible to categorize. Sturle Dagsland draws as much inspiration from experimental art music and electronic avant-garde traditions as from the immediacy of pop and the physical force of rock music. The result is an intense concert experience where the hypnotic, the unpredictable, and the deeply emotional collide in a constantly evolving and captivating soundscape. Standing Room Only If tickets are sold out in advance, there will be no tickets available at the door.
