ABOUT THIS EVENT

THE DIRE STRAITS EXPERIENCE Former Dire Straits member Chris White and six world class musicians For the countless loyal fans, it felt like the end of the world in 1995: Dire Straits stopped performing. But thanks to those same passionate fans, the music of the legendary rock band is more alive today than ever. The demand for songs from Dire Straits' rich musical universe remains undiminished, including among new generations. The Dire Straits Experience answers that call. Worldwide, this band is regarded as the best you can hear since the original lineup -- you can't get closer to the original. Led by former Dire Straits band member Chris White, six world-class musicians bring the pearls of the original repertoire back to life: Sultans of Swing, Money for Nothing, Private Investigations and many other classics. The music is still alive - don't miss it. The Dire Straits Experience succeeds in authentically reviving the unmatched musical class of the original band. Chris White even calls Terence Reis the only one who can match Mark Knopfler's vocal and instrumental qualities -- and that says everything about how high the bar is set here. The band members have impressive musical careers behind them and have worked with greats such as Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Tina Turner and Mike Oldfield. With The Dire Straits Experience, the music returns of one of the most creative and unique rock bands of all time. In the media "From the first note that leaves his lips, from the first stroke of his fingers across the guitar strings, you know he's doing the impossible. Terence Reis brings Dire Straits back all the way." [Cultuurselect] "Meanwhile it was clear that this would be an evening of music performed with the precision of a Swiss watch, with palpable playing pleasure, intensely and virtuously (...) The Dire Straits Experience stands rock solid." [Rootstime]
